Tuba Geçgel's ongoing explorations in stitching, embroidery, weaving, and the fusion of textile surfaces with various new materials unfold a layered approach that stretches from childhood family stories to the eclectic world of today.

Frequently employing amorphous and absurd figures, Tuba, with her sculptures, installations, and two- or three-dimensional creations through embroidery, immerses the viewer into a peculiar spatial reverie. The gender-neutral figurative approach in the artworks, featuring elongated arms and distinctly deconstructed, undefined beings, quietly takes residence in the space. The vibrant colors juxtaposed with pastel tones within a duality in the works signify a naive narrative, a transparent diversity, and emotions hidden in reality but unmistakably revealed here. Crafted with their formed structures and ambiguous expressions, the enveloping artworks are conveyed to the audience like the story of a vibrant individual through a sharp gaze, serene observation, and an intimate embrace.

Tuba Geçgel, by pulling stories from life, emotions from reality, navigating from chaos to simplicity, and from the crowd to tranquility, opens the door to a colorful world, a past filled with amusement, a present full of struggle, and an intriguing tomorrow. Moreover, with her ironic illusion, she invites the viewer to either find their own reality or trace the intuitions of a playful world.
