SUZAN PEKTAŞ

Suzan Pektaş, born in Bulgaria, completed her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department. Engaging with photography since her university years, Pektaş supported her artistic production through various training programs. She participated as a guest student in contemporary photography philosophy, visual sociology, gender and photography courses at the Galata Photohane Photography Academy. She also completed her documentary master's program within the PhMuseum Education Program based in Italy, focusing on the lives of an African community living in Turkey. Pektaş, who centers her work on contemporary documentary photography, addresses themes such as migration, women, identity, and social memory, producing photo and video stories. Her works have been exhibited in venues such as Barın Han, BantMag Building, Leica Gallery Zingst, Black Eye Gallery, Courrier International, LFI Magazine, and Huck Magazine.
