RIDVAN AŞAR

Rıdvan Aşar started his education at Mardin Artuklu University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 2014 and graduated in 2018. He graduated from Düzce University, Department of Painting in 2022. He resides in Mardin and carries out his works with a multidisciplinary approach in his own workshop.

In my art practice, I use different mediums and materials; I continued my work in the fields of Painting, Video, Installation and Photography. Rather than limiting my work to the possibilities of the material, I used the effective language of the material in parallel with this in order to mirror my own artistic thought. In my productions, I tried to produce political, evocative and thought-provoking images such as Power-Body and Domination, which I witnessed from time to time about the situation of the geography I live in. In this orbit, my works have developed in a sequential process. ''I conducted research on concepts such as Power, Authority, Obedience, Domination, Body, Trace and Geography. I can say that these concepts form the basis of my art practice. As a result of these researches; I aimed to reveal the impressions created by Time and Memory on the individual and society in my productions.
