OKTAY DEMİRKESEN

He was born in 1962 in Istanbul. He completed his secondary education at Istanbul Erkek Lisesi and his medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. He served as an associate professor and professor in the Department of Urology at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.

His interest in photography began many years ago. His photography education started at İFSAK in 2010 and continued with 40 Haramiler in 2014. Then he worked with many groups and esteemed photographers. In 2022, he completed the Photography and Camerawork program at Anadolu University, Department of Visual-Audio Techniques and Media Production, receiving an associate degree diploma. His photographs appeared in the books "Moments, Places, and Stories" and "Photography Organizations Association (FOTON)." In 2019, he opened an exhibition called Zana'Art with three photographers. His photographs were exhibited in many other projects and group exhibitions. He has won awards in national and international photography competitions. Most recently, he collaborated with Nihat Arıkan on the project "Those Hanging in the Moment: From Photography to Sculpture.
