Merve Herper

Merve Heper is a visual artist based in Istanbul. Working primarily with oil on canvas, her practice explores the porous boundary between reality and reflection. In her ethereal compositions of fragmented faces and dissolving bodies, a subtle tension between memory, identity, and light comes into view. Through layered textures and transparency, she focuses on fragile moments where the visible meets the unseen, investigating the space where emotion takes form and silence acquires a voice.
