MERVE DÜNDAR

Born in Istanbul, Merve Dündar completed her undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University, Department of Economics, and her master's degree at Yeditepe University, Department of Plastic Arts, with her thesis titled "Fragments, Boundaries, Body and Meaning". She attended the workshop of Irina Nakhova at the Salzburg Academy of Fine Arts. In her works, she questions the relationship between the inner world and the outside, the boundaries and interactions between the individual self and the social self, and the concepts of self and reality. Repetitions and the rhythm that is tried to be captured through repetition come to the fore in her works, which in a sense can be defined as an effort to capture the rhythm between the inner self and the outer world.
