According to art critic Marcus Graf, “Art is a spiritual journey for Meral Yildiz; This transforms the consciousness in the artistic production process into a different phase. He then goes beyond the known to explore alternative dimensions of life and its reality. In this context, Meral likes Kandinsky's concept of mystical art and Gerhard Richter's approach to color and texture. During his impulsive painting processes, he loses himself by losing his ego, which constitutes his personality.”
Meral Yıldız produces her works with the idea of unity awareness of Sufism. His works deal with the themes of "love, unity, spirituality, emotion, mystery, depth, space, emptiness, the secret of dimensions and colors, and self-discovery."
“First there was nothingness, then the depth of nothingness.”
