MARS BALOĞULLARI
Mars, born in 2003 and based in Istanbul, is a self-taught artist who has been painting since childhood, developing various techniques through her own practice. She creates works using watercolor, pencil drawing, airbrush, and particularly acrylic techniques.
At the core of Mars's art lies a stance of protest against the objectification and commodification of women in societal structures. Her works often explore themes such as femininity and its associated emotional conflicts, secrecy, and disappointment. The artist delves into the inner worlds of women and their resistance to societal pressures, aiming to provoke viewers to question their own emotional and social contexts.
Constantly exploring perception, introspection, and the complexity of human experience, Mars seeks to take both herself and her audience on a profound journey through her work. The aesthetic of her creations adopts an approach that is both abstract and surreal, encouraging viewers to confront their own narratives. She aspires to connect with a broader international audience and engage with diverse cultural perspectives through her art.
