LÜTFULLAH GENÇ
He was born in Giresun in 1994. In 2018, he graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics, as the top student of the faculty. In 2016, he studied at the “University of West Hungry” and “International Ceramics Studio Kecskemet” in Hungary with the Erasmus exchange program. In 2018, he continues his master's degree at Hacettepe University Institute of Fine Arts and continues his thesis work as a guest student at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Genç focuses on the concepts of class, object and memory in his works. It approaches the illusions created by psychology in perception through the concept of object.
The artist presents objects that remain in the memory and experiences to the audience by filtering them through a blurry perception. Taking advantage of the tension of perception by using narrow and wide contrasts, the artist aims to open new areas for the audience with this perspective. While doing this, he works with different mediums, primarily on ceramic materials, and produces new media and installation works.
