KEREM ÖZTÜRK

He was born in Istanbul in 1987. He completed his undergraduate education at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics and Glass in 2010. He completed his postgraduate education, which he started in 2015 at Marmara University Fine Arts Institute, Department of Industrial Design, in 2019. He has been working as a lecturer at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics and Glass since 2016. He took part in various group exhibitions and events with his works. He was entitled to receive a special jury award for his work in the 2016 and 2017 Bazaart Projects. He continues his architectural and industrial glass design and artistic glass production in his workshop in Kadıköy, Istanbul. In his works, he uses glass together with opaque materials such as wood, metal and marble. It emphasizes the transparent and fluid structure of glass. He uses repetitive but variable structures in the universe, the phenomenon of unity and harmony, and dynamics such as movement and flow as inspiration and tools. The artist, who blends digital and traditional production methods in his production practice, draws attention to the bond between technology and nature.
