HİLAL CAN

Her productions emerge as a reflection of his own life journey and past experiences. In general, she feeds on the contradictions of a high desire for individuality. Unsolvable knots, paradoxes and deep-lying anxiety structure the production phase. She feeds on the psychological process that modern man encounters on his way to becoming an individual. In this production process, which she mostly finds healing, sometimes the questions she seeks answers to leak from her subconscious and appear on the surface in front of her, in the material in her hand.

The conflict between the changing reality that surrounds her, the geographies she lives and experiences, the external reality she is exposed to, and the internal reality that has formed and will continue to form with his past, pushed her to seek another reality/realities beyond what she sees/what is seen.

The production process that she has not abandoned since her childhood also shows that the life he fell into - which he used to think was a miracle, but now finds logical - could only be understood through the self-knowledge tools that he finds important on the way to becoming an individual. She continues her journey of “Becoming me / Ich_bin” by touching upon the process of existence that is shaped by different psychologies in deeper depths and thus using art as a tool, through production and expression.

In her art practice, which continues to flow before her as a developing process in which she reaches his emotions, empties them, and concretizes them, she has not separated any discipline & instrument that she likes from each other, and they all continue to unite as different parts of the same reality in the end.
