GİZEM ERHAN

Gizem Erhan was born on November 15, 2001 in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. She won first place in many painting competitions during her primary and secondary school years. Working on the portraits she took and the digital manipulations she made of her own body, Gizem draws figures and assigns them characters, trying to convey what it feels like to see the world through a broken lens, the weight the human body places on our souls, and that we are essentially born into an invisible cage.

She received a high school education in fine arts and participated in many CNR EXPO events. She started sharing her work on social media platforms. Gizem, who is currently a 3rd year student in the fashion design department at Yeditepe University, appeared in magazines such as King Kong Magazine, Vogue USA, ID and Year Zero with her interviews and fashion shoots during her high school and university years. Her work was exhibited at the PERA Museum and opened her first solo exhibition called "Opulence Massacre" in the heart of Istanbul in November 2022.

Most recently, he took part in ITSLIQUID GROUP's Contemporary Venice exhibition.
