FATMA ÇİFTÇİ

Fatma Çiftçi graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Glass Department in 2007. He graduated from the Graphic Arts Department of the same university with a double major program in 2009. He completed his master's degree with thesis at Anadolu University, Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Glass. While he continued to improve his technique by attending trainings at the Glass Furnace, he received a merit scholarship at Urban Glass, New York in 2016 and studied Neon. In 2017, he received the Achievement Award at the Contemporary Art Project Competition organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Turkey. He won the Glass Art Society Takako Sana Scholarship in 2018, the AGG James Whitney Scholarship and the Corning Museum of Glass Scholarship in 2022.

He opened his first personal exhibition at the Contemporary Glass Arts Museum in 2017. He took part in many international group exhibitions and contemporary art galleries with his glass works. He took part in business life as a workshop manager, designer, trainer and translator. His articles were published in the culture and arts pages of Zeck Yaşam Kültür magazine between 2004 and 2019, and he served as the art director of the same magazine.

Born in 1984, the artist is a Proficiency in Art student at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Fine Arts and continues to work as a Research Assistant at the Ceramics and Glass Design Department of the same university. Both theses that he is the author of have received/are receiving support within the scope of Scientific Research Projects.
