EDA EMİRDAĞ
Eda Emirdağ was born in 1986 in Istanbul. Eda Emirdağ, studied International Relations department at St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia. In 2013, she won a full scholarship to Bahçeşehir University, department of Photography and Video. In addition to social issues such as women’s politics and refugee issues, the artist works on topics such as photography ethics, presentation aesthetics, image representation, archives, and conducts essays in video, photography, collage, and performance. Eda Emirdağ, who had her first solo exhibition in Sweden it was about the Syrian Refugee issue. Second solo exhibition at GaleriBu in Istanbul and also Emirdağ selected the artist residency program Kultivera in Jonkoping, Tranås-Sweden. Her third solo exhibition on Anatolian mourning traditions as a project exhibition She also management and owner of ‘Galip’ project which 20 artists and academicians as a participant and was about a photographer who died 19 years ago and Emirdağ founded his last one box archive and focused about heritage, archive, suicide...
She produced participatory art projects, workshops, and collaborative works. She has participated in exhibitions such as MamutArt Project, Contemporary Istanbul, Young Photographers Award, New Generation Contemporary Artist From Turkey, Tuyap Art Fair and participated in exhibitions in Sweden, Wales, Denmark, France, Italy, Holland, Germany and Pakistan.
