DURU DİNÇ

She was born in Istanbul in 2002. She started her undergraduate education at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, France in 2020 and completed it in 2023. She is currently continuing her master's degree at the same school.

Focusing on the physical and cognitive impact of daily life, the artist shares the common feelings that we intuitively encounter as a society; she deals with social issues such as being stuck, in-between, closure-opening, etc. The artist proceeds by creating installations and compositions that focus on the repetitive motifs and objects we encounter in our daily lives and abstract these objects, which have a certain use, from their assigned purpose. These selected materials are generally objects that have a direct connection with the body, and even if there is no direct body form in their works, a body image is created. These mirror-like objects, which surround the body or the subject and even enter into a direct dialogue, actually create a reflection.
