DIANA PAGE

She was born in Durban, South Africa in 1965. GA between 1982-1986. She studied at the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Natal. After graduation, she received her Master's Degree in Art Education from the Faculty of Education at the University of Cape Town in 1988, and completed her Master's degree in Fine Arts (Painting) at GA Rhodes University between 1989 and 1992. Between 1999 and 2001, she served as Head and Deputy Director of the Painting Department at Ruth Prowse School of Art, Cape Town. Diana Page took part in many group exhibitions as well as her personal exhibitions on international and local platforms.

Her artworks have been included in respected academic, corporate and private collections, especially the Jack Ginsberg Artists Book Collection. In 2008, she was awarded the Ampersand Fellowship to New York City Award. In 2018, she won the Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris award. She completed these works by taking part in the Paris Cite IA exhibition in the same year. Her works include paintings, drawings and artistic performances; It shapes unexpected aspects by kneading complex concepts such as 'home, homeland, identity' internalized by the individuals of societies evolving through urban and rural spaces. She offers the audience a poetic transformation point where they can connect internally as individuals and reintegrate with the concepts of space and place. The artist settled in our country from Cape Town in 2006. She still continues her artistic production in Istanbul.
