"Ambiguous creatures, monsters, freaks, beings from other lands... Each of them is the embodiment of our own fears, an attempt to replace the blurry and uncertain with the comfort of the clear. As Locke said, “Fear is the distress which afflicts the mind with a future evil which seems to come upon us.” It is a kind of "ember". But our real fear is the unknown. They are emotional ambivalences that come and go, stuck between fantasy and reality, creating an uneasy curiosity.

It is not the objects that are uncanny and create a feeling of fear, but the hallucinations we associate with them. While every fear is expected to have a directional object, our greatest fear is actually facing and witnessing the unknown. It is not the things, objects or situations that disturb and frighten a person, but his thoughts and delusions about objects and situations. It has neither design nor language, every fear extends to the primitiveness of the mind and feeds our anxieties at the other end. Without realizing it, it gradually penetrates the entire identity. The bogeymen that live in thousands of years of memory, myths and religions still live today. Because each fear we embody is present in the lives of human beings, taking on very different meanings and values.”
