Çağatay Şen

Born in Bursa in 1996, the artist completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Balıkesir University in 2019. In 2022, he enrolled in a second undergraduate program in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Balıkesir University, where he continues his studies.

The artist's practice is conceptually grounded in an exploration of city, memory, and lived experience. Within this context, urban and natural landscapes are not treated merely as sites of representation, but as carriers of both individual and collective memory. By foregrounding often overlooked details, he opens up a critical dialogue between the visible and the invisible.
