ARZU ARBAK

The artist, who believes in the importance of collective work and uses photography as a tool for expression and inquiry, has been conducting the ongoing project "Visual Conversations" since 2014 with various groups. The structure of "Visual Conversations" forms the framework for the collective works, exhibitions, and workshops she sustains, while also creating new approaches and experiential domains. Individuals within everyday life, gender equality, existence, and the human-nature relationship are central to her studies. In 2020, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, she collaborated with 6 artists from different art disciplines to establish the @cevrimici40dakika platform on Instagram, designed to generate, contemplate, and foster interaction through dialogue. "Encounter" (2017) (ed:20) and "Visual Conversations" (ed:1) (in the SKA archive) (2019) are among the limited edition artist books she has produced. Her works have been exhibited at various national/international photography festivals, galleries, and fairs. She continues to collaborate on joint projects and organize workshops with artists from different disciplines.
