Emptiness

The artist grounds their creations on self-awareness, identity, and the concepts of self, attempting to question the search for existential fragments in the human soul. Throughout the process of formation, identity and self can be influenced by many external factors, but every individual possesses a unique piece. The ambiguity in the human soul and character stems from its alienation, and with this alienation, the images appear blurry and vague.

In the project prepared for #1wallexhibition, the artist considers the concept of self along with the concept of melancholy. For the artist, melancholy, at times, is a process one strives to emerge from, and sometimes it is a phase where one cannot realize they are right in the middle of it. Due to this emotion, the individual confronts the uncertainty of what the void and the lost thing they feel inside actually are. The sense of loss and the longing for what is missing, created by these concepts, become apparent.

Creating a sense of the figure drifting in emptiness with a spaceless atmosphere, the artist emphasizes that this drifting is a result of the individual alienating themselves both from themselves and from the environment they are in.
