Yasemin Keltek

Her work focuses on time, place and the people who are placed within these two strong parameters, and subdued by mass culture through totalitarian rule, and their problematics of perceiving life. Her aesthetic approach usually hosts contrasts, make you go in quest of invisible through a judgmental interface, and target her audience to feel two fundamental themes ‘face of human’ and ‘space interface’ using a simple but effective language to translate them into a plastic expression. Born in Adapazarı, she studied management at Hacettepe University. During her career in finance she also served as a board member of İş Culture and Art. She received her MFA degree at Yeditepe University, majoring in Plastic Arts. Her thesis discusses ‘Connections between Self-portrait and Selfie’. She also studied fresco at Palazzo Spinelli, Firenze. Since 2014, she continues working on art in her studio in Çengelköy, Bosphorus.
