
Suzan Pektaş
Suzan Pektaş, born in Bulgaria, completed her undergraduate education in the Electrical-Electronics department at Hacettepe University. She became interested in photography during her university years and supported her artistic production with various training programs. Pektaş attended classes in contemporary photography philosophy, visual sociology, gender studies, and photography as a guest student at Galata Photo Academy. She also participated in the Documentary Master’s program as part of the Italy-based PhMuseum Education Program, completing a documentary project focused on the lives of an African community living in Turkey. Pektaş works in the field of contemporary documentary photography, centering on topics such as migration, women, identity, and social memory, and produces photo and video stories. Her works have been exhibited in various platforms and publications, including Barın Han, BantMag Bina, Leica Gallery Zingst, Black Eye Gallery, Courrier International, LFI Magazine, and Huck Magazine.
