Sevgi Yanar

Sevgi Yanar, born in Edirne Uzunköprü. Graduated from Avni Akyol Fine Arts High School. She completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Mimar Sinan Fine Art University, Faculty of Fine Arts. Participated in exhibitions and symposiums nationally and internationally. She is also one of the founders of the “216 Fields of Thought and Production” initiative.
In her painting, he focuses on the relationships he establishes in daily life and makes portraits of these relationships. Concentrating on depicting people, animals, objects, relationships and even emotions in the simplest but most self-reflective way, the space of the series of paintings produced by the artist in the last period is mostly water and the figures are seen behind the illusion of water.
In addition to the dry paint, which she has been using with delicate control, she has been making production by using two different techniques, such as glass fusion, which is open to coincidences and uncontrollable results while baking.
