Selin Tahtakılıç
Selin Tahtakılıç was born in Izmir, Turkey in 1995. After completing her high
school education in the Painting Department of Işılay Saygın Fine Arts High
School in Izmir, she entered the Textile and Fashion Design Department of
Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Following one year in this department, she
transferred to the Graphic Design Department within the same institution
and completed her undergraduate education there.
While studying, she gained experience through internships in advertising
agencies and later focused on her personal projects. She had the
opportunity to work on many domestic and international projects and has
illustrated children’s books. She has participated in various exhibitions.
While her works were realized in different media, she also combined her
embroidery technique, which she learned at a young age, with her own
drawings and started to produce new works.
