Rıdvan Aşar

Rıdvan AŞAR started his education in Mardin Artuklu University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department in 2014 and graduated in 2018. In 2018, he continues his master’s degree in Düzce University Painting Department. He lives in Mardin and carries out his works in his own workshop with a multidisciplinary approach.

With different mediums and materials in my art practice; I continued my work in the fields of Painting, Video, Installation and Photography. Rather than limiting my work to the possibilities of the material, I used the effective language of the material in this parallel to mirror my own artistic thinking. In my productions, I tried to produce political, reminding and suggestive images such as Power-body and Domination from time to time about the state of the geography I live in. It developed in a successive process in this orbit. ‘‘ I made researches on concepts such as Power, Authority, Body, Domination, Trace and Geography. I can say that these concepts form the basis of my art practice. As a result of these researches; I aimed to reveal the impressions Time and Memory creates on the individual society in my productions.
