Rüstemoğlu focuses on the forests that he grew up with since his childhood, as a source of inspiration in his latest project called “A Pleasant Light in the Air”. With this project, the artist who brings together the human body and nakedness with nature; It questions both nature and the place / role of human beings in nature. The artist rediscovers nature in the essence of bodies.
Describing loneliness and lack of social belonging to human bodies handled in their natural state, Hüseyin Rüstemoğlu creates a new aesthetic that is deeply connected to the roots of painting in his works that he builds based on the pattern. The artist focuses on witnessing and revealing the marginalized lives in today’s world of rapid social changes. The figures in his compositions are neither able to exert any force nor escape from the world around them. In the formal sense, although they seem distant, the subjects and objects in the selected images carry a psychological intensity.
