Özgün Sezen
She was born in Bursa in 1976.
She studied painting at Bursa Anadolu College of Fine Arts, between 1990 and 1994.
Also, she graduated from the Department of Painting at Uludağ University in 1998 and then became an art teacher at Private Colleges.
In addition to these, during her teaching, she continued her art studies and personal exhibitions in her atelier in Bursa.
She still lives in Bursa and contributes to the education of young and adult art lovers by giving special ‘basic art education’ in her atelier and continuing her art.
She uses various surfaces, namely acrylic paint on canvas, resin on aluminium panels and special paper in most of her works.
She explains the inspiration behind the artworks as;
‘My works reflect the energy and teaching felt by the awareness of cosmic existence, which is my source of inspiration. This teaching describes the beginning of time, the formation of molecules, stardust and the emergence of organic life particles. In each of my works, I transfer cosmic wisdom and my love to the canvas by touching the mysterious roots of the universe. I design these works in such a way that eventually they become unique and cannot be repeated.’
