Nevruz Akdağ
I was born in Adana in 1988. Since I was 2 years old, I grew up and studied in Istanbul. I graduated high school in 2005. Then, in 2006 I started Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design. I changed my department to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University again but to the Department of Textile and Fashion Design in 2007. While studying, from 2012-2014 I work as an accessory designer in the Studio Kaprol team with the famous fashion designer Arzu Kaprol. I have participated in Fashion Week in Istanbul and Berlin. After living in London and Canada for a while, I returned to Turkey in 2017. In 2019, my collage works are displayed with the curation of award-winning British interior designer Jimmie&Martin in London. I took part in the group
exhibition with İstanbul Tüyap Art-Ist te Taşeron Art Institution in İstanbul in 2019. Also, in 2019 I took part in a group exhibition at Camden Image Gallery London. In 2022, my first solo exhibition ‘Connection’ was displayed at Antalya Den Art Contemporary art gallery. In 2023, I participated in a group exhibition at the Old Street Gallery. I started giving adult and children’s collage workshops. Now in 2023, my collage works started to be exhibited at Büyükdere35 Contemporary Art Gallery. I am still producing in Antalya.
