He was born in Shaft- Northern Iran in 1982. While doing his Masters at University of Tehran in TEFL in 2010, inspired by works of a prominent photographer in the country, Karim Malak Madani, he started to learn photography and did a comprehensive course in analog and digital photography in the Young Journalists Club under Malak Madani’s supervision. Art has become an indispensable part of his life since then.
He has participated in group exhibitions in Rasht and Istanbul (2014 and 2017 Marlik Gallery & 2017 Idil Gallery). He also won awards in 2017 and 2018 at 78th Asahi Shimbon Saloon of Japan and Fine Art Photography Awards of London respectively. Currently he lives and works in Istanbul.
Since 2017, his focus has been trees in forests, especially the ones in Belgrade Forest. Capturing significance through the seemingly insignificant, beauty in the ‘ordinary’, with a focus on natural entities, typically neglected or taken for granted, is the main theme in his works.
