Hüseyin Rüstemoğlu

He was born in Bursa in 1981. He graduated from Sakarya University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department in 2006. He completed his master’s degree at Sakarya University, Institute of Social Sciences, Painting Department, in 2012 with the thesis of “The Case of Nudity and Eroticism in Modern Painting Art”. The artist, who separates the individual from the society and draws attention to their otherness in his paintings, depersonalizes the individual while doing this. It strips the individual who is identified with social processes and gives isolation and inner conflict through their bodies.

Human existence anxiety is questioned in studies based on the concepts of loneliness, alienation, lack of belongingness, and loneliness. It bends the bodies or limbs in order to make visible the psychological tensions created by the concepts of lack of identity, nothingness, emptiness, frozen, numbness, leaving, leaving, giving up, in the individual, if it shrinks and hides it. In his works, in which he also makes his own body an object, the figure-skin-body relationship, which takes place in abstract spaces, is depicted within the framework of the problematic of being. The artist, whose works have been exhibited in many fairs, solo and group exhibitions, continues to live and work in Istanbul. Some of the artist’s works take place in various private collections, including the Luciano Benetton Foundation.
