Fatma Çiftçi

Fatma Çiftçi graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, Major of Glass Arts in 2007. She graduated from the Department of Graphic Arts in 2009 with a double degree in the same university. She completed her Master’s degree in Glass Art Major, Anadolu University, 2017. While progressing on her technical skills by being T.A. and participating in glass training at Cam Ocagi (The Glass Furnace), in 2016 she received merit scholarship from Urban Glass and had merit pay from Turkish Ministry of Culture in Contemporary Art Project, 2017. She has been granted the Glass Art Society Takako Sana Scholarship award in 2018, AGG James Whitney Scholarship in 2022, Corning Glass Scholarship in 2022.
Her first solo exhibition was held in the Contemporary Glass Arts Museum in Turkey, 2017. She has participated in many group exhibitions worldwide. She took part in the business life as studio manager, designer, instructor and interpreter. She has been writing on the art & culture pages and has been art director between 2004-2019 in Zeck magazine.
She is now Research associate in Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics and Glass Design. She is currently a PhD student at Dokuz Eylul Institute of Fine Arts, Glass Art Major. Artist who was born in 1984, lives and works in Izmir, Turkey.
