She was born in 1980 in Izmir. She completed her undergraduate studies in Ege University Art History Department, her master’s degree in Dokuz Eylül University Photography Department, and her PhD in Ege University Art History Department. Since 2009, she has been working as a lecturer at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art and Design, Photography and Video Department. She continues her studies in the fields of photography history, photography theory, alternative photographic printing techniques such as cyanotype, van dyke brown, gum bichromate, and analog photography, and conducts her courses in this field.
In 2014 and 2016, she participated in the international photography conference called Helsinki Photomedia held at Aolto University with her papers. In 2017, she opened her personal exhibition titled “Panoramic Traces” at the Lomography Embassy Store in Galata, Istanbul. She has participated in international photography festivals with her photographs: “Istanbul Blue” at FotoIstanbul (Beşiktaş International Photography Festival) in 2017, “Silent Blue” at 9th BursaFotoFest (International Bursa Photography Festival) in 2019, “One Day” at 10th BursaFotoFest in 2020. Box Artifact Glass In Search of the Negative” exhibitions. Her series “Istanbul Blue” was published in the international art design magazine “212 Magazine”. The “Istanbul Blue” series was exhibited at the Art Gallery of the Art History Department of the University of Amsterdam in 2019. In 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, she held cyanotype and analog photography workshops at Fotoistanbul, 212 Photography Festival, Fkare’08 Photography Festival organized by Yıldız Technical University Photography Club, Özyeğin University Photography Days and Amsterdam University.
