Beyza Boynudelik

Born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1975. Lives and works in Istanbul.

Education: 

2007-Had her P.H.D. classes in painting department at Mimar SinanFine Arts University, Institute of Social Sciences, Faculty of Fine Arts, Istanbul; studying both painting and printmaking. Still on the thesis session.
2003 Received her M.F.A. in painting at Mimar Sinan University, Institute of Social Sciences, Faculty ofFine Arts. Studied both painting and printmaking.

1999 Received her B.F.A. at Kemal Iskender Studio, Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department. Studied both painting and printmaking.

Beyza Boynudelikparticipates in solo and group shows, symposiums and workshops in Turkey, Europe, Africa, Asiaand the America.Her works can be found in individual and institutional collections. She produces art in the forms of paintings, printmaking and photography, installation and video.

Beyza Boynudelik’s works are the realizations of everyday life events, the view of the city as a living organism, the unseen imaginable world and figures which are in perpetual contact with each other. She possesses the fresh sensibility for objects.

Beyza is in continious search to explore people’s relations with each other and at times with ironic attitude in her paintings. She tries to analyze the background of the visible by tracing how lonely and isolated the urban individual lives distant from sincerety and reality with skepticism between virtual life and real identity. The world issues, the intimacy and also the women’s issues as a woman living in this geographical area are some of the leading subjects of the latest works
