Bengisu Bayrak

She was born in 1978 in Germany. She has a BA degree from Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting (2001), an MA degree from Istanbul Bilgi University Institute of Social Sciences Film and Television Program (2005), a Doctorate in Arts degree from Marmara University Fine Arts Institute Art Department (2008)and an MBA in marketing from the University of Wales (2011). She has participated in many group exhibitions in Berlin, Seoul, Hong Kong, İzmir and Istanbul. Between 2012 and 2018, she had 7 solo exhibitions in İstanbul and New York.

She was awarded several awards, including “Akbank Contemporary Artists Achievement Award” and “myMoleskine 2.0”. Her works are owned in private collections in Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Italy, and Germany.Besides her productive artistic career Bayrak also teaches art and design at Beykoz University, Istanbul Kültür University and Istanbul Bilgi University.
