He was born in 1985 in Mersin. After leaving the Physics Department, where he continued for 2 years, he completed his undergraduate and graduate education in Mersin University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphics. Later he started working as a Research Assistant in the same department. He started his Proficiency in Art education in 2018, and he also works as a Research Assistant in the Graphic Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University. Özcan, who opened his first personal exhibition in 2012 in Edisyon / Istanbul, opened 4 solo exhibitions, participated in many national and international group exhibitions, was invited to various art projects and took part in publications.
While producing his works, he is inspired by surreal creatures, monsters in Japanese Mythology, demons, and paintings of Mehmet Siyah Kalem. He continues to research and produce works on the possibilities of fears, uncanny and undefined creatures that have taken place in the human subconscious.
